Rust NFA accounts and hours explained

Published 27 October 2026

Rust is the one game where playtime is not just a number on a profile: it decides which servers let you in. That is why every Rust NFA account on nfa.pub is sold by hours. This guide explains why hours matter, what each tier is for, what the Premium tiers add, and how bans and the warranty work for Rust.

Why hours matter in Rust

Rust servers are run by their owners, and plenty of them protect themselves from cheaters on fresh throwaway accounts by turning away new Steam accounts, or by asking for a minimum number of Rust hours. Some communities go further and whitelist only long-standing players.

A Rust account with real playtime on it gets past those gates. The hours shown are what Steam records for Rust on the account; Steam does not say how they were played, and nobody can promise it. Hours do not carry any progress across wipes either: on a fresh wipe everyone starts from nothing, whatever their playtime.

The Rust tiers

Every Rust account here is a Steam account that owns Rust, with no Rust game bans. The tiers are sorted by Rust playtime:

TierRust playtimeWhat it is for
1 - 100 HoursUnder 100 hoursGetting past servers that block brand new accounts, cheapest
100 - 200 Hours100 to 199 hoursMost servers with an hour requirement
200 - 500 Hours200 to 499 hoursHour requirements stop mattering on almost any public server
500 - 1000 Hours500 to 999 hoursServers that screen out low hour accounts
1000+ Hours1,000 or moreThe highest playtime we stock, for whitelisted servers
Inactive 14 DaysNo band promisedAn account nobody has played for at least 14 days

Each server sets its own rule, so check the one you want to play on before you pick. If it asks for 250 hours, buy the 200 - 500 tier, not the one below.

Rust Premium: the same hours, with skins

Premium is the same set of tiers, from under 100 hours to 1,000+ and inactive, on accounts that also hold a Rust skin inventory worth $15 or more at Steam market prices. Same playtime bands, same no Rust game bans, and you load into every wipe already skinned.

What Premium guarantees is the total value of the Rust skins, not which skins they are. One account might have a few expensive items, another a spread of cheaper ones. The skins belong to the account, so like everything on an NFA account they are not yours for ever.

Inactive Rust accounts

The Inactive 14 Days tiers, plain and Premium, are accounts nobody has played for at least two weeks: Steam shows 0 hours for the last 14 days. They still have no Rust game bans. What they do not promise is a total playtime band, so if a server checks hours, pick an hours tier instead.

Bans and the warranty

Every Rust tier is sold with no Rust game bans, and that is the line the warranty draws as well:

  • A Rust account that will not sign in is covered for 6 hours from delivery. Press Replace on your order page and a faulty one is swapped for a fresh account of the same tier, up to three times per order.
  • A VAC or game ban is not replaced. Claiming a banned account ends the warranty on that account for good and sends the claim to a person; other accounts on the order keep theirs.
  • A CS2 cooldown on the same Steam account means nothing for Rust and is ignored.
  • A ban earned after delivery, for example for cheating, is never covered.

Signing in and playing

Copy the login line from your order page, paste it into the free nfa.pub Loader for Windows and press Sign in. Steam restarts signed in to the account, with no password or Steam Guard code, and you launch Rust from your library as usual.

Do not change the account's details or settings, and do not share the login. Both end the warranty, and changed details can lock you out.

Common questions

Do Rust NFA accounts have game bans?
No. Every Rust tier on nfa.pub, plain and Premium, is sold with no Rust game bans.
Which Rust tier gets past server hour requirements?
Under 100 hours already gets past servers that block brand new accounts. For a set minimum, buy the tier whose band starts above it: 200 - 500 hours clears almost any public server, 1,000+ is for whitelisted ones.
What is Rust Premium?
The same hour tiers on accounts that also hold Rust skins worth $15 or more at Steam market prices. The value is guaranteed, not the particular skins.
Do Rust hours carry over between wipes?
Hours stay on the account, but progress does not: on a fresh wipe everyone starts from nothing.
Is a banned Rust account replaced?
No. A VAC or game ban is not a faulty account, and claiming one ends the warranty on that account.
