How to log in to a CS2 NFA account

Published 27 October 2026

A CS2 NFA account does not come with a username and password. It comes as a login token, and signing in takes about a minute with the free nfa.pub Loader. This guide explains what the token is and what the Loader does with it, what to check in CS2 before you queue, and the handful of mistakes that cause most problems. For the click-by-click version with screenshots, use the sign-in guide.

What you actually receive

When the payment confirms, your order page shows each account as one line: the account's Steam ID, then the JWT login token. The same lines are emailed to you. The token is what Steam itself uses to remember a signed-in device, so with it the Loader can sign Steam in to the account directly.

That is why there is no password: NFA (no full access) means you get access through the token, while the password and the email the account is registered to stay with the seller. It also means the token is as sensitive as a password. Anyone who has it, or your order link, can sign in.

Signing in, in four steps

  • Download the nfa.pub Loader from your order page or the sign-in guide. It is free, runs on Windows 10 and 11, and needs Steam installed.
  • Press the copy button next to the account on your order page. It copies the whole line, Steam ID and token together.
  • In the Loader, paste the line into Login token and press Sign in. The Loader closes Steam if it is open and starts it again, already signed in.
  • Before you launch CS2, press Clear Workshop in the Loader, then start the game from Steam as usual.

Clear Workshop matters more than it sounds. Many CS2 accounts are subscribed to dozens of Workshop maps, and without it Steam starts downloading every one of them the moment you launch the game.

Check the account before your first match

The Loader shows the account's cooldown and VAC status. Look at it before you queue: in CS2, a cooldown or a VAC or game ban is not covered by the warranty, and the time to notice anything wrong with an account is straight after delivery.

Then check that the account has what the listing promises:

  • Prime Ready: Prime status, with Premier not yet unlocked.
  • Premier Ready tiers: Premier available to queue.
  • Rating tiers: a CS Rating inside the band the listing names.
  • Medal tiers: the number of service medals listed.
  • Knife or Glove: at least one rare item in the inventory.

If something is missing or the account will not sign in, claim inside the 6 hour window from delivery.

When Steam asks for a password or a code

Do not type anything in. A Steam Guard prompt or a password box means the Loader's sign-in did not take, usually because it still has an older sign-in cached.

  • In the Loader, open Cached Accounts and press Clear all cached accounts.
  • Go back to Login and press Sign in again.
  • If Steam opens on the wrong account, the same fix applies.
  • If you see "Could not read a Steam ID from this token", part of the line is missing. Copy it again with the copy button instead of selecting it by hand.

If Steam still asks for a code after that, the login is not working. Press Replace on your order page while the warranty runs.

Mistakes that cost people their warranty

  • Changing the account's details or settings. Changed details are not covered, and they can lock you out.
  • Sharing the token or the order link. A login used by more than one person is not covered.
  • Claiming a cooldown or a VAC ban as a broken account. In CS2 that ends the warranty on that account for good, so check the Loader first and ask in a ticket if unsure.
  • Using cheats. A ban earned after delivery is never covered.
  • Waiting. The window runs from delivery, not from when you first sign in.

Replacing an account that does not work

Press Replace next to the account on your order page. The account is checked with our supplier first. If it works, nothing is used up and you are told so. If it is faulty, a fresh account of the same tier replaces it on the same page, and you sign in to the new one exactly as before. Each order can receive up to three replacements.

Getting back to your own account

The Loader keeps your own Steam login saved. Open Cached Accounts, pick your account and press Restore login, and Steam switches back without you typing a password.

Common questions

How do I log in to a CS2 NFA account?
Copy the login line from your order page, paste it into the free nfa.pub Loader for Windows and press Sign in. Steam restarts already signed in, with no password or code to type.
Why is there no password?
NFA accounts are delivered as a JWT login token. The password and the registered email stay with the seller, which is what no full access means.
Steam is asking for a Steam Guard code. What do I do?
Do not type anything. Clear the Loader's cached accounts and sign in again; if Steam still asks, use Replace on your order page.
Does the Loader work on Mac or Linux?
No. The nfa.pub Loader is for Windows 10 and 11, with Steam installed.
How do I switch back to my own Steam account?
In the Loader, open Cached Accounts, pick your own account and press Restore login.
